Office Manager

San Francisco

Come Build Robots

At Ouster, we're developing advanced sensor hardware and vision algorithms for autonomous cars and drones. We're looking for software and hardware engineers interested in working on the systems that underpin modern robotics: high performance sensors, localization, mapping, object detection, tracking and classification. Our team is composed of engineers that wear many hats and enjoy building robots that cope with the messiness of the real world. All of us push code, some of us build hardware, and none of us wants to wait another decade for cars and drones to be driving themselves.

We are looking for an Office Manager to help us maintain the infrastructure of our office to keep pace with the business as we grow here in San Francisco. We love our fun, fast-paced culture and our Office Manager will be at the center of helping us ensure that our office is a warm, inviting, creative environment that is supportive of our values and the needs of our employees. This position is based in San Francisco (Mission District).

  • Ensure our offices are running flawlessly by keeping them clean, organized, and well stocked with snacks/drinks and office supplies
  • Oversee weekly snack and coffee orders, receive all food and drink deliveries
  • Arrange catering for daily dinners, meetings, office events, etc. (Ex: making menus/schedules)
  • Manage all office vendors and works to resolve any issues that may arise, communicating with professionalism
  • Partner with the Physical Security Manager and Environmental Health & Safety Manager with regards to office projects
  • Plan office events (team outings, company parties, lunch meetings) as needed
  • Prepare all office facilities for daily needs (Ex: working with hiring managers to allocate desk space for new hires, prepping conference rooms for executive meetings)
  • Book all Executive and employee related travel

Ideal Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 to 5 years of previous experience as an Office Manager, preferred
  • Outstanding communication skills with an always-friendly, always-positive disposition
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, collaborative, and willing to take on new and diverse projects
  • Highly-flexible with proven ability to prioritize tasks-must be able to adapt
  • Self-motivated individual who can demonstrate initiative, maturity, and discretion
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve problems before they arise
  • Proficiency with business software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and Google apps (Gmail, Google Calendar, Hangouts, etc.)
