At Ouster, we're developing advanced sensor hardware and vision algorithms for autonomous cars and drones. We're looking for an Accounting Intern to work part time (~20 hours/week). 

About the Role:

Work as a member of the Finance team to help support Ouster. Directly support the accounts payable/receivable department in daily operations, and month end close processes. Will assist with customer collections, vendor invoices, fielding general inquiries and troubleshooting accounting errors.  Accurate / Efficient data entry abilities a plus.


  • Perform data entry of Accounting invoices and other financial data in Netsuite
  • Assist with month end financial duties
  • Post vendor payments and cash receipts
  • Contact and interact with vendors/customers for issue resolution
  • Monitor vendor invoices and check for accuracy
  • Prepare spreadsheets and documents as needed
  • Send out vendor remittances and customer statements
  • Check and maintain the accounting group email
  • Ensure the completion of assigned tasks/projects in line with established deadlines
  • Perform other accounting duties as requested by Management

Experience & Skills:

  • Completed 2 years of college and currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting/Finance
  • Basic understanding of accounting and a proficiency with computers
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
  • Strong in verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter who is highly motivated with attention to detail and strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to set priorities and multi-task
