Stock Plan Administrator Consultant — San Francisco

Reporting to Corporate Controller will play a critical role in the completion of daily stock administration duties, running Equity Edge.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and upload monthly new hire grant upload and demographic information upload templates.
  • Prepare and upload termination upload template files as needed.
  • Review and approve RSU releases within the Equity Edge.
  • Send option exercise and RSU vesting information for Section 16 Officers to our external counsel for Form 4 preparation and filing.
  • Main point of contact for equity compensation related issues/questions from participants, Equity Edge (equity administration software provider), and E-Trade (broker)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 to 5 years of stock plan administration experience for a public company (required)
  • Equity Edge experience (strongly preferred)
  • CEP (strongly preferred, but must at least have passed the Level 1 CEP exam)
  • Sarbanes-Oxley 404 public accounting or industry experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to implement changes in a rapidly scaling/growing environment.
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to anticipate events, prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast paced and growth oriented environment.

Business Development Representative — San Francisco

We are looking for a motivated Business Development Representative to generate and vet leads with customers in order to gain adoption in a variety of sectors - automotive/AV, industrial automation, surveying/mapping, drones, universities and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creatively generate & qualify leads from a variety of sources and tee up conversations for the rest of the business development.
  • Research and build profiles on qualified leads through LinkedIn, HubSpot, and Vertical Specific Market Research to feed the top of the sales team funnel. Areas of research include organizations and applicable projects across a variety of sectors from robotics, to intelligent infrastructure, mapping, autonomous vehicles, entertainment, AR/VR, heavy industries, and many other sectors.
  • Contribute to mapping the market with the sales operations and growth marketing team to process inbound sales requests accurately and efficiently. Co-manage lead generation related email blasts and marketing campaigns.

Customer Success Engineer — APAC — Hong Kong

Ouster is hiring a Customer Success Engineer to help our robotics customers be as successful and efficient with our lidar sensors as possible! This position will serve primarily to help our customers get up and running quickly, troubleshoot and fix any problems, track trending issues, and process all returns. These duties will be performed in compliance with policy guidelines and within timeframes as defined in the team’s SLAs and/or project requirements.

  • Onboard customers after they have received their sensor, making sure they have all the tools and information to complete their projects.
  • Quickly investigate, evaluate and successfully resolve customer issues with Lidar Sensors.
  • Efficiently diagnose hardware, software and network related problems on a variety of platforms.
  • Carry out independent research to find technical solutions where necessary. Where a solution cannot be identified, the candidate will work closely with our engineering teams, to escalate as appropriate.
  • Provide advice on configuring and optimizing environments, to ensure that services are running effectively.
  • Given the critical nature of the customer projects and product issues supported, after-hours and some weekend work will be required.
  • Create and maintain knowledge and support articles.

Field Applications Engineer — San Francisco

Ouster is hiring a Field Application Engineer (FAE) to help our customers integrate the Ouster sensors into their projects and make them successful with lidar. This position will work closely with the business development team and customers in pre & post-sale technical activities.

As an FAE you will develop skills in our current product features, tools and design flows, as well as facilitate adoption of these solutions with a variety of customer systems.

The ideal candidate would display an interest or proficiency in lidar physics, electromechanical systems, basic thermal engineering considerations, electrical system troubleshooting (oscopes, multimeters), signal protocols, computer networking, and electromechanical integration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be the expert liaison between Customers, Business Development, and Engineering
  • Consult the customer through the process of design, testing, and integration into new and existing development projects.
  • Proactively come up with Proof-Of-Concept (POC) designs for various use-cases/real-time applications leveraging the latest tools and technologies available
  • Troubleshooting system applications on customer's request, resolving other engineering issues regarding systems application, conducting regular follow up on customer's activities, and monitoring the same for obtaining new sales opportunities
  • Interact closely with the leading technology vendors to understand the new technologies/architectures being rolled out and how to apply them
  • Assist the Business Development team through pre & post sale activities
  • Conduct training for clients on the latest tools & technologies
  • Build on the knowledge & expertise gained from the previous projects to build better designs and POCs
  • Strategically and effectively communicate to customers
  • Many of these responsibilities are most effectively carried out in person at customer sites so travel will be a necessity once restrictions are eased

Ouster is hiring a Customer Success Engineer to help our robotics customers be as successful and efficient with our lidar sensors as possible! This position will serve primarily to help our customers get up and running quickly, troubleshoot and fix any problems, track trending issues, and process all returns.   • Drive rapid response to any Supplier quality excursions through Quality Alert Notices, Failure Analyses, though the cross functional 8D process to containment, corrective actions and long-term remedies.
  • Develop and deploy the IATF APQP Supplier Management processes to suppliers, beginning with the PPAP process, including standardized IATF compliant workbook.

We are looking for a senior frontend developer to help improve our data management, processing and visualization applications. Logistics & Trade Compliance Manager — San Francisco

Ouster is seeking a highly motivated and highly process oriented Logistics & Trade Compliance Manager to join our growing Supply Chain team. In this role, you will manage critical domestic and international shipments to support production, customer fulfillment, and RMA service, and everything in between. You will gain invaluable experience about Ouster’s supply chain and understand our processes from the ground up.

The candidate will primarily serve as a resident expert responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining import/export compliance policies, procedures, and related systems with the objective to improve Ouster’s import / export operations efficiency and compliance. The Logistics & Trade Compliance Manager will play a critical role in mitigating risks and costs associated with Ouster's global import/export operations. The candidate will work with related Ouster business functions and stakeholders, across multiple jurisdictions, to drive and deliver exceptional service and compliance, ensuring uninterrupted Customs and Supply Chain operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner closely with Supply Chain team members to troubleshoot, unblock, and improve logistics operations.
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams in supply chain, finance, and operations to explain and enhance logistics operations, systems, and data.
  • Manage effectively and independently day-to-day Ouster’s Import / Export Compliance Operations.
  • Evaluate import/export compliance requirements such as HTS, PGAs, and ADD/CVDs on products and components. Such products primarily include automotive components, electronics, machinery, finished goods, and various materials.
  • Maintain Ouster’s Customs recordkeeping program as required by CBP.
  • Manage Ouster’s Customs Broker as needed.
  • Administer Import Licenses, Article 23 for Netherlands and others as needed and defined.
  • Provide Customs valuation expertise and support for other related programs such as Customs Reconciliation.
  • Where necessary, work with internal Ouster stakeholders, including engineering, etc. to obtain the information required to ensure accurate classifications are assigned to Ouster's products, while maintaining organized records of such supporting information.
  • Develop classification decision rationale for various product types to improve efficiency in classification while maintaining accuracy.
  • Assess the consistency of existing classifications across the different Ouster commodities.
  • Identify and record applicable PGA requirements based upon product classifications.
  • Train other team members and new hires on import compliance matters.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain corporate policies and procedures, including Ouster's Customs Compliance Manual.
  • Audit and review Customs duty payments and manage customs drawback/reclamation process.
  • Oversee Global Logistics Operations; directly managing the 3PL that services North American, EMEA and APAC markets.

NPI Materials Program Manager — San Francisco

Ouster is seeking a motivated, experienced, and knowledgeable NPI Materials Program Manager to support the planning, warehousing and delivering of materials for the launch of new programs. This person will be responsible to support the prototype, pre-production builds and SOP phase of a program until the successful transition to sustainment planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, schedule and manage various purchased materials for new programs.
  • Support program/s from prototype phase through start of production until transition to production sustaining team. Own the transition plan for the program / parts to be handed over to on-going production
  • Effectively communicate material requirements and program timelines/milestones to external suppliers
  • Work with external suppliers to establish the appropriate delivery schedules for individual components, specifying quantity and frequency targeting on-time delivery; coordinate with Supply Chain team and Logistics as needed.
  • Identify supply chain risks and mitigation steps to ensure material readiness
  • Communicate status and risks regularly. Escalate in a timely manner
  • Own the leadership communication on the program to all key stakeholders: Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commodity Management.

  • Provide ongoing transparency of inventory levels and ensure continuous inventory accuracy
  • Work fluidly in a highly cross-functional team environment involving manufacturing, program management, product development teams, design engineers, supply chain, production control and logistics teams
