These simple systems address only a very specific subset of safety risks and miss things like rope safety barriers, forklift tines, and low-profile ground objects like empty pallets. Though they are a safety improvement, these systems still have accidents.

Unlike traditional systems that depend on 2D lidar and fixed infrastructure, the 3D navigation system does not necessitate additional infrastructure installation in the environment.
