We are proud to share that our digital lidar detection platform, Ouster Gemini can be accessed in the Genetec Security Center through a Restricted Security Area (RSA) plug-in. This integration enables customers to combine the advanced capabilities of 3D lidar and video surveillance into a single user interface for improved and simplified security operations.
Genetec is a global security management provider with over 42,500 customers and the world’s leading video surveillance software. Genetec Security Center unifies customer data from multiple sources, including lidar, cameras and radar, so that users can manage security policies, monitor events, and run investigations all in one place. With this integration, existing Genetec customers can effortlessly harness the power of Ouster Gemini directly through their existing Genetec dashboard.
What is Ouster Gemini?
Ouster Gemini is a cutting edge detection system that combines Ouster's digital lidar sensors and Ouster’s AI-enabled perception software for accurate classification, detection and tracking of perimeters, sites and indoor facilities. Deployments include data centers, defense and utility sites, enterprise office buildings, yards, and ports.

By incorporating Ouster Gemini into Genetec RSA, customers benefit from all of the advantages of a 3D lidar perimeter intrusion detection system (PIDS) into the RSA dashboard. Ouster Gemini seamlessly integrates with existing Deter, Delay, and Incident Response (IR) infrastructure and requires no specialized training for security personnel.
Ouster’s lidar sensors are installed similarly to cameras—with a mount and ethernet connection—making installation fast and easy. Following the integration into Genetec RSA, detected intrusions can trigger alerts, event recordings on cameras, and PTZ cameras to slew to the exact point of intrusion(s).

1. Easy zone and tracker setup in RSA: After the Ouster Gemini RSA plugin is installed and a Genetec Security Center tracker is configured, all lidars and detection zones are auto-discovered and placed precisely on the site map inside Genetec Security Center.

2. Precise location tracking and event recording: An object’s 3D geoposition information in Ouster Gemini is instantaneously reflected through RSA, making real-time tracking smooth for security personnel. All events can be recorded for easy post-event analysis.
3. Centralized health monitoring: All system health information of Ouster Gemini is located in Genetec RSA alongside a customer’s other Deter and IR systems. Security personnel can configure Genetec RSA alerts for any system issues, such as a power issue causing a lidar sensor to go offline.
4. Integrated Ouster Gemini 3D viewer: Ouster Gemini’s viewer is available from the Security Center, providing both a 3D and 2D view for optimal spatial awareness and threat response.
